2 of 3 people found this review helpful Mumbai Meri Jaan is sensitively scripted by Yogesh Vinayak Joshi and Upendra Sidhaye and sensibly directed by Nishikant Kamat. For critics complaining of incompetent scripts, here is a screenplay that is immaculate, intelligent and emotionally binding. In this character-driven plot, every protagonist is precisely defined and their conflicts are convincingly established...

1 of 2 people found this review helpful "Mumbai Meri Jaan" is a sincere attempt to capture the aftermath of the serial bomb blasts in Mumbai's local trains that ripped apart the city's lifeline on July 11, 2006, killing 80 innocent commuters and leaving scores injured.

There are six stories running simultaneously in the movie at times they touch and converge but for the better part their link to each other is the city and the blast.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful Like the city, Mumbai Meri Jaan is more about the people that make it what it is. Even the bit roles give you a glimpse into yet another character you might find in a city - spoilt rich brats, a sermonizing father, housewives for whom the bomb blasts must have just meant another event, and many more.
