So all in all is this film worth a trek to your cinema? Definitely yes! Unlike another film that recently released and promised a lot of action but served up only style, this Yash Raj's flick promises lots of action lekin Tashan se!

The style and look of film is impressive. Acharya gets that right. In fact, he gets most things right with Tashan, which at the end of the day is nothing more than a stylized revenge drama, with a little bit of romance, long-lost lovers and a funny villain thrown in...

It's just not love sagas and a few songs this time, it's all that and a lot more action and one helluva twisted plot. The film, though with many slips, is thoroughly engaging and entertaining. The vibrancy and spunk keeps it alive and loaded.

Tashan works in fits and starts. There are some genuinely creative moments, a few fantastic lines of dialogue, and some shots that make you go wow. And while the film starts off blissfully cheeky, it gets more and more serious as it goes along, suddenly mistaking itself for a ridiculous action film...

DESPERATELY seeking some scriptwriters for Yashraj Inc. After the no-brainer Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, get ready for another plot-dead film that tries to score on presentation alone. Sadly, there isn't even a zany, new age tashan to boast about here...

Tashan begins with quite a bang, with stylish graphic novel-like credits and a riveting, fast paced shot opening sequence involving a red Mercedes convertible fashionably skidding across the sands of Ladakh, set to a soundtrack that crazily alternates between Highway to Hell and Kabhie Kabhie...

Ultimately, it's a lavishly-told fairy tale of three con-men, which emphasises on swagger not purpose and settles for style over substance. But if you aren't looking for the latter, Tashan is all-revelry.

There are far better English movies running in the theatres. Go watch them instead. The brilliant Anil Kapoor seems completely wasted in this one. And somehow we can't believe that Yash Raj is actually bargaining with the multiplexes for this movie. Surely, we've seen a lot better movies from the banner.

Tashan is a mind-numbing road trip filled with un-engaging characters. Anil Kapoor is bhaiyaji, a UP gangster, who desperately wants to speak English. Saif Ali Khan is a suave call center employee who is hired to teach him English...

Kareena Kapoor indulges in skin show, dons a bikini and is spunkily convincing as the femme fatale on the prowl! Saif Ali Khan is disappointing in a role that's just a foil for both the real lead stars- Akshay & Kareena.

The English tutor, Jimmy Cliff (Saif Ali Khan), falls for Pooja's charm while teaching Bhaiyyaji. To help her, he robs Bhaiyyaji and finds himself facing the barrel of Bhaiyyaji's gun after Pooja runs away with all the loot.

The film is an action packed stylized product from Yashraj with hot couple Saif and Kareena providing the oomph factor while action specialist Akshay Kumar providing the stunts. The film is high on style, star value, but lacks substance and direction...

Tashan would have been a disaster if it had an ordinary cast. Again, the A-line stars of the movie give nothing more than an average popcorn stuff. Style, yes. Substance, zilch.

Tashan disappoints you big time but you can afford to watch it once if you want to catch a glimpse of Saifu's cute son Ibrahim for the very first time on screen and of course the gorgeous Kareena Kapoor! Her seductive dance movements in Chaliya (well sung by Sunidhi) are definitely worth a dekho!

The biggest flaw in this movie was its mediocre storyline and it's much bizarre execution. You never know where the story was moving; forward or backward. And its screenplay, only the time when Akshay made screen presence it was bit relief else it was completely mooooo point.

All said and done, a good movie would succeed against all obstacles, unfortunately Tashan is a major disappointment from Yashraj. This could just go the Jhoom Barabar Jhoom way!

Tashan is partly Bunty Aur Babli (only in some of its manners and '70s tributes); wholly Jhoom Barabar Jhoom in its lunacy; and mostly Robert Rodriguez's El Mariachi series (Desperado etc) in its aridity, guns and random action...

However, what really surprised me is that the four main characters in the film had actually different traits which were more-or-less consistently adhered to. What's more, each one had a story arc too!? - Very atypical of a Hindi movie in this genre...

Dear readers, this shouldn't happen to you. But imagine! After the first-day-first-show screening of Tashan -- directed by first-time-first-slapdash director Vijay Krishna Acharya and umpteenth-time-producer Aditya Chopra - something serious happened to me...

You see the problem with Tashan is nobody associated with this film knew what film they were making. What's more, I don't think they cared either - the film reeks of arrogance.
Arbitrarily packing in elements of every genre without actually bothering to stop and see if the mix does work, Tashan is like an overcooked stew...

Frankly speaking, after watching Tashan I have realized that "Cash" wasn't that bad, this one is even worse. There is some story but nobody cares when the same is presented so badly. Akshaya Kumar is the only one who impresses (again) with his acting...

The first scene of a car going down into a river from the mountain has very cheap graphics like that of a cartoon film. That itself was a clear indicator of the director's vision. Every actor who otherwise is an asset to a movie is simply wasted. And Saif will surely hit himself thinking why he signed this movie.

Lows of the film were a watery storyline, 1980's style action sequences, horrible dialogue, Saif Ali Khan's mullet/mustache combo and pretty much everything else in the film.
Overall, The Tashan is, the big waste of time; rent it if you must.
