0 of 1 people found this review helpful Shoot on Sight somehow has the feel of a small screen drama, which could run over two three episodes a la CID or Special Squad. Viewed on the silver screen, it looks a bit too shoddy and unimpressive.

The film has a straightforward storytelling approach without many surprises and qualifies for a social drama over a thriller. The climax of the film is rather predictable (and quite similar to the more recent film Dhoka having similar concerns) but the steady direction and convincing performances keep you riveted.

In fact, you suspect that Jag Mundhra isn't even aware of this as he sets out to make an issue-oriented thriller about Operation Kratos launched by the London police in the wake of the July 7, 2007 tube station bombings. So is this Shoot on Sight? Or is Sight on Shoot?

0 of 1 people found this review helpful The trouble with 'Shoot On Sight' is that it follows a very predictable path. Even though it has slices of real life in its screenplay (the character of Naseer is based on Tarique Gaffoor, a high-ranking cop in London), the characters and the story appear a little cliched.

"Shoot On Sight" works as a wake-up call for those slumbering in their bourgeois belief that terrorism is as far away from home as Osama Bin Laden is from the US.
