Raqeeb is a tale of obsession and revenge on many levels. It is told partly in flashback, so that you have to piece the events together and figure out how far back the action of the film began, what is now and what was then...

The film manages to keep its viewers guessing and shocking with the dangerous games that are played by all the characters of the film. The climax is definitely disappointing and should have been well treated by the director-writer. Dialogues could have been better and more consistent in terms of quality.

Although one part of the movie's suspense (Tanushree's scheming nature) is revealed much early in the film, 'Raqeeb' still makes you sit on the edge of your seat with its unexpected twists. The culmination to the Jimmy Shergill track looks a bit abrupt, but it makes sense in the overall scheme of things.

Jimmy Shergill is earnest too. The surprise packet of the film is Tanushree Dutta who gives a refined performance.

For RAQEEB slips into a bizzare, yet, highly unpredictable ending. Along the way, much debauchery happens and many games are played...
