The film seems to be shot and edited in patches and the continuity lapses clearly show. The screenplay by Abbas Tyrewala has an exciting buildup but a weak and weird culmination. After a point of time, it simply takes your sensibilities for granted...

Aftab Shivdasani is a pleasant surprise. He is the affluent Abhishek who falls in true love with every other girl he meets. The man actually has the potential to make you smile! In order to bring out contrast between Amrita and Kartika's mysterious character, Rimi Sen is given a tanned, sexy look. She is a revelation too...

Only problem is that Abhi keeps falling in and out of love. At last count he has had 31 girlfriends although he is only 26! Anyways one day Abhi confesses that he is in love with a friend and both Paglu and Amu think or rather hope that he is talking about Amu...

As for performances, the film is out and out Riteish's. He may NEVER be able to be a Yash Raj hero, but the actor surely can make his character interesting enough to fall in love with...

De Taali is not meant to be a logical film, nor is it meant to be great cinema. The main characters are very normal, but of course the situations are slightly abnormal as are a few of the other characters, like Kartika's family and of course Paglu's landlord...

The film starts on an uninteresting note but catches up as the story unfolds. The friendly banter between Riteish and Rimi makes you smile. There are many more lighthearted moments in the film, along with mindless cameos from Pawan Malhotra and Saurav Shukla...

Anyway, let's be a bit positive, no? There's a peppy appeal about Riteish Deshmukh who, knowingly or unknowingly (more likely the latter), follows the deadpan Buster Keaton-style of comedy. His reaction shots to chaos around him are as funny as a drunken sparrow...

The film starts well on a positive note and the bonding among friends has been superbly depicted by the filmmaker. But the kidnapping drama in the second half makes its pace slow and irritates the viewers...

The best performer of the film is no doubt Riteish Deshmukh who indeed has some comic sense and his timing is apt. Ayesha Takia too does well with this flick and is much better than her 'Sunday' performance. Aftab is just ok. Rimi Sen is so pale as the vamp in the film...

It's a good-looking film with good performances but no plot. It also moves predictably. The movie is all about friendship and love, but when the lights dim in the theatre, heralding the start of the film, the music accompanying it gives it a somber mood...

'De Taali' has fine performances from the leading cast, who, at moments, even rise above the mediocre script to hold a viewer's interest. But director E Niwas disappoints. He seems more fixated on making the movie look visually appealing without ensuring a tight, coherent script in the first place...
