8 of 10 people found this review helpful The best thing about the movie is its length – the torture lasts for a relatively short time. Doesn’t the first lesson in “Murder Mystery Story Writing -101 cover that plot twists have to come at regular intervals?

6 of 8 people found this review helpful Hattrick is bearable but not half as entertaining as a cricket match would be. At the end of it, all you remember is that it had something to do with cricket.

3 of 6 people found this review helpful This is director Luthria's second comedy after 'Taxi No. 9211' and he has once again roped in his favourite Nana. Going by the film's promos, the actor should manage to tickle the funny bone with his unconventional comic performance once again.

3 of 6 people found this review helpful The first cricket movie to cash in on the World Cup fever and this one is a No Ball or simply an overthrow that misses the wicket by quite a distance.
Firstly, what's cricket doing in it, other than being a silly point (read reference point) in two of the story tracks.
In the first, it becomes almost the cause of a marriage break-up and in the second, it becomes the rallying point in a cut-and-dried hospital run by a khadoos doctor.
In the third story, it's so very iffy — a weapon of reverse racism — that you might as well just let it be.

3 of 6 people found this review helpful The film has three unconnected stories running parallel to each other during the Cricket World Cup. Each story ends by bringing about a positive change in the characters involved as the World Cup finishes.

3 of 5 people found this review helpful The film has good overall performances from its actors and there are quite a few interesting moments in the first hour, but the film stagnates just when you think everything is going fine.

3 of 6 people found this review helpful Sounds like fun? Well the bad news is that it is not too much fun. For most parts, 'Hattrick' is a bit of a drag in spite of the running time of only two hours.

The director seems quite confused in parts where you think he could have gone further, but it's a good attempt at something different and unique. With brilliant performances by great actors and an average storyline, one wishes that Hattrick could have reached its full potential rather than suffering from an average script.
