The film is set during the 1825 Pindari movement of Rajasthan, when India was ruled by the British. As the British enslave India with their Divide and Rule policy many Nawabs and kings entrust their precious kingdom to them except for the Pindaris. Veer Pratap Singh (Salman Khan) is the brave Pindari prince who takes on the British, the devious King of Madavgarh, Gyanendra Singh (Jackie Shroff) as well as his own jealous tribesmen. Amidst all this, Veer falls in love with princess Yashodhara, the daughter of his enemy.
