On Sunday, a day ahead of his return to Mumbai after the 2-month long exhilarating-and-exhausting Unforgettable concerts, Abhishek decided to give
himself and his dad a treat.
"We went to watch the Chelsea team play a football match, and we had a great time, ' says Abhishek enthusiastically about sharing sporty time with his
Pa.
Abhishek has been an ardent supporter of Chelsea Football team which played a match against the Tottenham team when the Bachchans came."I had
been to the Chelsea matches several times. But it was the first time for Pa. And I was excited, both by the thought of attending my favourite team’s match
and by the fact that my dad was so excited. We had ourselves a ball."
The two boys had themselves a whale of a time. The Indian spectators did get excited on seeing the Bachchans. "But we were all there as one big stadium of
fans. It didn't matter who were all beyond being Chelsea fanatics."
And though Aishwarya also went along it was basically a father-son bonding binge. "It was 90 mins of gripping entertainment. And we both had fun. Dad is a
new Chelsea convert."
The father-son Bachchan pair were invited as the Chelsea team's owner Roman Ebramowich's special guests. And that sat in Ebramowich's private enclave
watching the Chelsea team at play. "It was a wonderful and befitting finale to our concerts," says Abhishek. "Now Dad has gone to Paris while I'm back in
Mumbai. It feels good to be back home."
