Vishakha Singh’s first performance in the film, Humsey Hai Jahaan has been appreciated well, inspite of the film not churning out crores at the B-O. This cute-simple-sober yet glamorous gal is all set to explore the glittering world of Bollywood with the films like Coffee Shop and Do Aur Do Punch, in her kitty.
Vishakha was in conversation with her fans on her latest film, Humsey Hain Jahaan but those who missed to catch her live have nothing to worry, as Bollywood Hungama brought you the excerpts of the conversation.
Vishakha Singh: Hi
Al: are you feeling nervous or excited?
Vishakha Singh: Hi all, no I am not nervous at all...excited definitely.
Al: why were you replaced in SRK's Chak De?
Vishakha Singh: al...I was never selected for Chak De...I was short listed for Chak De...may be Shimit Amin thought that Vidya suited the role better than me which is his prerogative.

Al: Could you plz tell about yourself something?
Vishakha Singh: I was born and brought up in Abu Dhabi...did my BBA from Delhi and am now presently in Mumbai.
Al : have you always dreamt to be in Bollywood?
Vishakha Singh: I have not always dreamt of being in Bollywood but as a kid I was the Nautanki of the family and it took me a while to figure out that I wanted to act.
Sanjog: Hi Vishakha, how are you, plz tell us about ur movie?
Vishakha Singh: Sanjog.... Humsey Hai Jahan is a wacky comedy abt 2 strangers and a complete family entertainer.
Al: which are you fav moments from the movie?
Vishakha Singh: the first time I danced on the streets of Singapore ...getting tanned on the beaches of Singapore.

Vishakha Singh: I am doing fine Sam.
Nanda: how does it feel to be a part of Bollywood?
Vishakha Singh: nanda, it feels great to be a part of Bollywood ...and I am getting to do all that my fav actresses have been doing.....its like one moment I was the audience and the other moment I was on screen
Nanda: Which is ur dream role?
Vishakha Singh: I am very greedy.... My dream roles would be something from Hema Malini's Sholay... Uma Thurman in Kill Bill... Rani Mukherjee in Black.

Vishakha Singh: I am from, traditional Rajput family...hailing from U.P...no connections ....no Godfathers and no recommendations in Bollywood.

Vishakha Singh : no I’ve not done television....but I was short listed for 9 Balaji serials....
Nanda: who is ur fav.actor?
Vishakha Singh: I am in love with Hrithik Roshan.
Nanda: what are ur hobbies?
Vishakha Singh: I love reading...writing...traveling...watching movies...dancing and cooking
Nanda: did u always wanna to be an actress?
Vishakha Singh: I was the cultural captain in my school. And was always participating in Dramatics and thoroughly enjoyed myself doing that...after college it just made sense to make a career out of something that I loved.
Varyani: vish, r u satisfied with the work, u have done in the Humsey Hai Jahaan?
Vishakha Singh: varyani,, as an actor I don’t think I can ever be satisfied. I always feel there is scope for improvement
Leta: are you doing any other film right now?
Vishakha Singh : yes I am doing 2 more projects ....a movie called Coffee Shop with Sahara One and another called Do Aur Do Paanch..... both should release this year.
Javzz: Are u open to offers from new directors...like me...who have fantastic scripts but no big banners...what you say?
Vishakha Singh: yes I am open to new directors, new producers and especially fantastic scripts but at the same time we newcomers should remember that logistics also play an important role
Fenil Seta: How was it working with Mashhoor Amrohi and Jackie?
Vishakha Singh: working with Mashhoor was a roller-coaster ride literally... He works very fast and I think that because of him I have become very efficient. I was in awe of Jackie Shroff to be frank...love his bindaas attitude.

Vishakha Singh: I would love to work with Hrithik and all the Khans.... In fact more than actors I would like to work with good directors.

Vishakha Singh: I haven’t yet seen Sarkar Raj

Vishakha Singh: I am the biggest fan of Harry Potter and I wish I could play Harry Potter.

Vishakha Singh : I was clear from the very beginning that it was Mashhoor Amrohi's launch pad....however if you watch the film you will notice that I have been given a good amount of footage and a decent role for my first film

Vishakha Singh: fitness is not just abt working out...its also about eating right, having good thoughts and performing good deeds...I do all of these :)

Vishakha Singh: I had joined Shaimak's dance classes long back...currently I am learning dance from Ashley Lobo.

Vishakha Singh: mikit, anything that’s comfortable and is in accordance with the occasion is fine with me

Vishakha Singh: can’t say ...Both Neil and Ranbir seem to be equally talented but I have a thing for the underdog so I guess I'd go for Neil.

Vishakha Singh: yes I do watch Hollywood flicks.

Vishakha Singh: Anywhere where my family comes along with me...I would love to go to Luxor and Alexandria in Egypt and probably even the Incan Trail.
Siddhartha: what made you choose to act in this film... How was the experience :)
Vishakha Singh : Hi Siddhartha...as a newcomer I don’t have too much of an option to decide and choose my movies....I selected the best out of the lot that I was offered...More so because of the Kamal Amrohi banner being known to present and to be its leading ladies is a dignified.
Varyani: have u taken some tips frm actors?
Vishakha Singh: no I haven’t taken any tips from actors but I do observe my seniors.
Maan: hi, do u follow any particular diet?
Vishakha Singh: no I don’t follow any particular diet but I do avoid oily, fried food and have given up on non-veg food.

Vishakha Singh: I did a music-video with Kailash Kher

Vishakha Singh: I don’t believe in titillation so wearing trendy clothes are fine with me but unnecessary skin show is an absolute no –no.

Vishakha Singh : maan....I remember my brother-sister fighting over me as a kid ....I remember being always pampered but not spoilt.....i remember my bro bashing up guys who tried to hit on me.
Varyani: what is your height?
Vishakha Singh: I am 5'4" without heels :)
Siddhartha: Do you prefer to act in Theatre sometime..
Vishakha Singh: yes I would love to do theatre sometime

Vishakha Singh: for the next 5 years at least I see myself doing films.
yogi : do u like doing yoga?
Vishakha Singh: I do a lot of meditation and would love to take up yoga
Fenil Seta: If Yash Raj Films offer u a film, will you do it inspite of the fact that they have given so many flops recently.
Vishakha Singh: its not abt the biggest production house, its not abt the flops ....Its abt the script of the movie that should excite me.....dont forget Yash Raj has also given us Chak De India.

Vishakha Singh: living it your way as long as you dont step on anybody's toes

Vishakha Singh: sanju, before signing a film I have now started looking at the banner's ability to release the film and the directors vision of the script.

Vishakha Singh: yes I am the youngest in the family...I have an elder sister, a brother and me.

Vishakha Singh: yes...Mashhoor Amrohi may have been my director and co-actor but he is a real kid at heart. In a particular scene we were both supposed to jump from a height of 30 feet ....I told him I was scared of heights and he had a simple remedy....He just pushed me without any warning !!!
