2008', on January 17 with mind-boggling performance of invoking Lord Ganesha which is called 'Ganesh Vandana'. The fourth year of the Mumbai
Festival is being held at South Mumbai's historic Gateway of India. Personalities all across the globe from Japan to Germany and USA to Scotland
along with India have come at the forefront to fulfill the dream of Mumbai Festival becoming an international event.
Some renowned personalities from the field of art, dance, music, tourism, advertising, media, NGOs and education encompassing the committee,
which is leading the event, were also present at the opening ceremony of the occasion, organized and conceptualized by Tourism co-operative.
Mr. Morarka, Chairman - MFC, says, "The success of Mumbai Festival reflects the enthusiasm and the spirit within each Mumbaikar. Their huge
response and participation shows how popular it has been for the last three years." He goes on to add, "It is heartening to see the overwhelming
response received by the Mumbai Festival ever since it was initiated. Today, it has taken a giant shape that is bound to grow further in coming time."
The Mumbai festival encourages every participant to come up with their own event and finance it, at the same time leaving MFC taking care of the
sheer organization of the event. The colourful festival including jazz concerts, plays, movie screenings, evening cruises and culinary classes, will end
on February 3.
