Day 6
- The premiere of Cheeni Kum was attended by Amitabh Bachchan who watched the film till the interval. The audience there has passed its verdict but we'll save it for the reviewers to say!
- The Studio 18-Virgin Comics deal appeared in the Cannes edition of Variety
- Variety had a special commercial and editorial feature on Eros Entertainment celebrating its 30th anniversary
- The much-awaited Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie starrer A Mighty Heart premiered yesterday and has bagged glowing reviews. The film was shot in India in Pune a while back if one will recall. Both the stars attended the press conference, as did Irrfan Khan and Brit-Asian actress Archie Punjabi, who also feature in the film. The film is an adaptation of Mariane Pearl's memoir. The latter was present to endorse the film as well!
- Just when everyone was beginning to come to terms with the slowing down of the market, a couple of buyers from unconventional territories popped up!
