Sherlyn Chopra all set to get outrageous

After being tagged as the hottest kid on the Bollywood block, actress Sherlyn Chopra is all set to get Outrageous with the launch of her debut music album, Outrageous – End of the Beginning. 'It's a compilation of seven tracks. The album expresses the vulnerable side of Sherlyn. Each song speaks of unspoken feelings, hidden desires, urges, fantasies and expressions of her body, mind and soul.’
Her first music video is going to be directed by ad film-maker Prahlad Kakkar. "The visuals of my video are going to be outrageously outrageous. However, the video would appeal more to the youth than to any other age group because the youth have a better understanding of sex than the adults!"
"I've been working on this project ever since I was 17 years old. The album reflects the rebellious side of me…..the side that rebels for a cause." Sherlyn Chopra has been born and brought up as a Christian kid. She says, "I've been singing ever since I was a kid. I was an active member of the choir group of my church."
So, is Sherlyn Chopra God's Child or the Devil's Child? Sherlyn says, "Of course, God's Child…….I believe that sexuality is divine……There's nothing wrong in wanting to celebrate it. It's completely normal to believe in the assets one has been blessed with by God Almighty, both tangible and intangible. One could be spiritual, God fearing and yet have an outrageous approach to life!"
Sherlyn Chopra has done a special appearance act in Raj Kanwar's 'Raqeeb – Rival in Love'. "I've danced barefoot. That way I can shake my hips harder and better. I think to be able to get people excited is quite challenging. And I believe I've done it with great ease in my song in the film." But didn’t she refuse item numbers earlier? “I refused most of the offers because I can’t shake legs to the number which I am not fond of. When I signed an item number in Raqeeb composed by Pritam and sung by Alisha Chinai, I asked the director to play the song before I sign. It’s important for me to know what exactly the number is and how it is going to be shot. I don’t want to make a fool of myself by doing any item number. I have basic understanding about the music. I am not here to experiment and I have great feelings that my album will get a positive review.”
Sherlyn Chopra is talked about mostly for her bold acts and statements. She says, "Each one of us has our own definition of being bold. If expressing one's opinion, speaking one's mind, doing intimate scenes with great finesse is being bold, then yes, I am bold! I love to be myself. I always argue if I find something is wrong. Basically this is the way I am. And what is bold? Doing a shower scene or a love scene? You call that boldness, I call it a part of my job. After the scene I don’t even think about it. I don’t even look at the guy."
Apart from the music album, Sherlyn is also busy with her film projects. “Last year I auditioned for the role of Radha for a film called Rasleela. Milind Soman was a part of this project then but now I have been told that Vivek Oberoi will be playing Krishna’s role. Parveen Dabbas is also a part of the same film.” Sherlyn also has Red Swastik lined up for release.
So, is she planning to continue with her music? “Well, if my first music album goes well then yes, I’ll start working on my second album” replies Sherlyn.
Sherlyn Chopra is all praises for Mallika Sherawat. She says, "Mallika is a mad girl and I like mad creatures!"
