Now we have a special treat for all of you who love to go back in time. Here is a photograph from the British film ‘Pretty Polly’ which released in 1967. The film titled ‘A Matter of Innocence’ in the U.S. had our very own Shashi Kapoor and the lucky lady next to him is Hayley Mills.
In this scene Hayley Mills enters a salon as a plain girl and comes out looking stunning and provokes Shashi into paying her a compliment. Shashi Kapoor was one of the first Indian stars to work in a foreign film and he did a pretty good job out of it. The film was based on a short story by Noel Coward and was Shashi Kapoor’s second international film after the Merchant-Ivory film Shakespeare-Wallah.
