The man behind the recent hit Aksar was available on your computer screens on Thursday when he agreed to have a live celebrity chat with the viewers of IndiaFM. Ananth Mahadevan spoke about his life, future films and a lot more. Here are some excerpts from the chat.

Ananth : as soon as abbas mastan realize that they need to do a khiladi again
Shab26 : Where did you get your ear for music from?
Ananth : have always been musically inclined only regret is didn’t take it up

riya : Were u satisfied by the Aksar's box office report or u expected more?
Ananth : aksar was a hit all over india
sam : did producers make money on it?
Ananth : the producers and every1 concerned are very happy
rishi : how u rate himesh reshammiy as a singer (average , or a brilliant one)
Ananth : himesh is a good singer
Shab26 : why didn't you take up music professionally?
Ananth : there r so many things i wanted to do- chemical eng... music, etc. finally acting and direction took up my time
King Kong : which was ur first film as an actor. I remember Khiladi
Ananth: first film was an english film called kim- did a cameo with Peter OToole
riya : what about your forthcoming film Agar?
Ananth : agar has more twists and turns than aksar

Ananth : if the role is good then acting and a great script for direction

Ananth : agar has tushar in the lead along with another hero and heroine

King Kong : first u acted in GHAR JAMAI, then u directed a serial by d same name... I believe I am correct
Ananth : ya ur rite kingkong- probably the only instance of an actor turning director with the same serial
riya : will it b a thriller or eamotional drama

Ananth : i dont believe in controversies to promote a film
RramanN : hi Ananth Mahadevan i have really liked you from your Tv days and i think you have really done well for yourself and creating your own niche, i would like that you make more good movies, we need good and young directors like you to make some real good stuff. keep it up Sir . King Kong : can't v have rerun of the old GHAR JAMAI of the 80's on TV... it was better than todays soaps

Ananth : im religious but no diamonds can ensure success
