Vidya’s prized purse possession Click here to add this article to My Clips

By IndiaFM News Bureau, May 5, 2006 - 02:19 IST

Vidya Balan is definitely raking in the moolah post her successful debut in Parineeta. She has Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Eklavya – The Royal Guard, Nikhil Advani’s multi-starrer Salaam-e-Ishq, Sajid Khan’s directorial debut Hey Baby and Munnabhai Second Innings. Big movies are what this young lass is signing whose performance was appreciated all over and was flurried with awards.

So with big producers hounding her door-step we ask her what is her most prized possession in her purse. Expecting the usual credit cards, debit cards, lip-stick, cash, perfume, etc. we were surprised on what we had to hear.

The one thing that she doesn’t leave without is a Rs. 500 note signed by none other than her parents. It was a gift given to her by them on her birthday years ago. Call it superstition or sentimental value or a good luck charm; she didn’t have it in her to spend that note even if it meant not going for movies or skipping a party with friends. We guess that this is one way of remembering her parents even when she is on shoots and away from them.

Now here is someone who we are quite sure will always have money in her pockets. She won’t spend it is another issue altogether.
