Bhoot Unkle: Promo Watch

Ever since Makdee, there hasn't been any good children's film in India. Filmmakers in India haven't attempted much to experiment with this genre, perhaps because they don't consider children as a huge audience for their films. In such times, Bhoot Unkle is something that the little audiences can look forward to.
The teaser of the Bhoot Unkle talks about the title character played by Jackie Shroff in the film. The legend that goes behind Bhoot Unkle is that he was a crazy pirate who, once upon a time, attacked a village. And since then the villagers believe that his spirit survives in the lighthouse of the village. And nobody dares to go close to the haunted lighthouse.

The scenes in the trailer interestingly alternate between actual and animated scenes. The scenes showing the villages in panic are the actually shot scenes. And the ones showing the ghost spreading mayhem in the village are animated. The makers have actually come up with an animated character of Jackie Shroff. So the movie seems to have a lot of animation apart from some special effects.
The story takes a turn when a twelve-year old orphan Shyam unexpectedly stumbles at the abandoned lighthouse and accidentally unveils the mystery behind it which gives him magical powers that change his life and also that of his other little friends.
