By IndiaFM News Bureau, January 10, 2006 - 06:10 IST

Year '06 has just begun, and the celebrations are over. Now all are back to their work. But still there are a few things, which brings smile on their face when they look back in 2005. Too many dreams and expectations compel them to accept challenges. IndiaFM spoke to them about their last year's experience and this year's expectations.

Tanushree Dutta

Looking back at 2005: I started my career last year which turned out to be an excellent move for me. My films Chocolate and Aashiq Banaya Aapne did pretty well at the box office. Both films received excellent opening, which was beyond my expectations. People liked my work and I was able to make an image for myself.

Regrets: I did two films which turned out well. But I refused two. However I don't regret for them as I was not able to arrange dates for those projects.

Favorite film of the year: Black was an excellent movie.

Looking forward in 2006: I have three movies, which includes a Vikram Bhatt directed action film opposite Zayed Khan, Subhash Ghai's Good Boy Bad Boy and three movies with Raj Kanwar.

Sameer Dharmadhikari

Looking back at 2005: Nighebaan and Raincoat were my last releases. I think the year was good. I signed three more films and was working on same projects throughout the year.

Regrets: No regrets. If you refuse any movie there are reasons for it. I have no regrets for doing any specific movie or for denying any.

Favorite film of the year: There were many hits last year but Parineeta stands tall.

Looking forward in 2006: My forthcoming film includes Madhubala and Rafta Rafta, which is a slapstick comedy directed by Raj Sharma. Again working with Shivram Yadav for a movie called Game.

Koena Mitra

Looking back at 2005: My last releases were Insan and Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena. Last year was more likely my starting period. It was a good year for me. After these movies I feel quite confident about handling movies than earlier.

Regrets: I have no regrets. In fact there were three films which were offered to me and I didn't take were super flops. .

Favorite film of the year: Black and Parineeta, these two films I really enjoyed watching.

Looking forward in 2006: I am shooting for Subhash Ghai's Apna Sapna Money Money Money with Ritesh Deshmukh and Amrita Rao. Other two films which I have signed are yet to be finalized on star cast. I am will be working in a Bengali movie which also stars other Bollywood stars.

Sushant Singh

Looking back at 2005: It was not a bad year for me. I had four releases last year including D, Seher, Matrubhoomi and Shikhar. Though none of my films worked out, it hardly matters to me. As I never concern with the hit and flop mantra, for me role is important.

Regrets: I have one for not doing Rang De Basanti. The director had approached me for one of the main character in movie. But I refused it for not having dates he demanded for.

Favorite film of the year: Seher undoubtedly is my favorite not because it's my film, but the subject was dealt with so finely that it made the movie special to me.

Looking forward in 2006: I have three releases this year Family, Tsunami 81 and Mukhbir (a film by Mani Shankar)

Shamita Shetty

Looking back at 2005: I feel great when I look back in past. I did three films last year Zeher, which was a big musical hit. Fareb and Bewafaa both did pretty well. I played different roles in these movies.

Tushaar Kapoor

Looking back at 2005: My last year releases were Insan and Kya Kool Hai Hum. And both of them did well. So last year was professionally good I can say.

Regrets: I don't have any regrets as I was offered few films which I refused. Those films have not done well last year. Now I feel I took the right decisions for not accepting those movies.

Favorite film of the year: Of course Kya Kool Hain Hum. The movie relates to new generation. Black has a passion which I like the most.
