It isn't everyday that you get to shake a leg with the Khans. But guess what the Saqi sizzler did? Koena Mitra said a curt 'No' to the offer that came from Karan Johar and Aamir Kan's office! Try to prod her with the 'loss' element but there is little that can disturb her decision. “I am not here to be an item girl all my life; I want to do bigger and better things. I am here to be the heroine. Besides, I hate this term, 'item girl', I find it extremely demeaning” she says upfront. “Does the media label SRK or Abhishek as item boy, nahi nah, then why us?” she shoots back.
“And unlike what you guys think, I am pretty happy with the way things have shaped up. I am currently shooting for Pritish Nandy's Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena and I have Fardeen Khan opposite me” she says easing up. “And you can put all these item numbers in a freezer, because I have this love song with Fardeen which is going to be the hottest thing on screen for some time to come” she declares. So Koena is going the 'Bheege Hont Tere' way? “Not really, that was a sex-song, mine isn't like that. I recently saw the way they shot the Ash-Sanju number in Shabd and can trust Rangita's instinct. Watch out, this one's going to cause some real heat” she says, fanning a hand.
