Why Shahid takes home only 80% of his salary?

He started his career with the Tips production, Ishq Vishq which sky rocketed his career. And this is what best explains for the missing figures in the pay packet that he takes home. “Don't make it a big deal. It's nothing” he brushes off the talk. We caught Shahid at the dubbing studio where he is doing patchwork for Satish Kaushik's Milenge Milenge.
So does he want to set the score right? “Well if you must know, I got into a contract with Tips while signing their film Ishq Vishq. It was mutually agreed between us that they would have right over 20% of my income and commercials if I did any” he narrates us.
Isn't that a tad unfair? “I would be lying if I said otherwise. Yes it is a rigid contract and I am still tied to it. But I like to look at it from the point that the film almost gave me a career. So, it isn't that bad, unless you guys want to blow it out of proportion” he says sipping on chilled lemon tea. But going by his reactions, the chill is yet to set in.
