Dikhenge toh Bikenge!

Like it or lump it, this is Isha Koppikar's mantra. And she makes no bones of sticking by it. Isha hypnotized half the nation with Khallas. 'Ishq Samandar' added further proof that Isha was the latest seductress on Bollywood block. Offers came flooding in, but all of which was shown the door. “I did not come here to become an item girl' the girl with the piercing eyes tells us. “I am here to do some good work” she says firmly. We get a taste of the famous Koppikar frankspeak when she says, “Bollywood is notorious for typecasting actors. I was keen that it doesn't happen to me. That's the reason I said no to most offers” she says with determination.
Isn't it tough considering the kind of big bucks that are offered? “You bet. It's very tempting. Especially when you are being offered obscene amounts of monies” she smiles. “But once you decide that you need to take the tougher but the more lasting route, turning your back on the fat carrots isn't that hard” she says with steely resolve. If that's the case, what explains the 'Bhor' project that she did? “You guys are on a knit-picking rage, huh!” she laughs. “I'll tell you how that came about. I was in Mauritius shooting for Girlfriend. Choreographer Bosco-Ceaser came to me with this project, I found it interesting, so took it up. Besides, you can't say no to everything. At the end of the day, it's my bread and butter. I live by the philosophy 'Dikhenge toh bikenge' Isha smiles.
But is it 'Khallas' to item numbers? is what we want to know, “Well, pretty much, unless something sensational comes up. Bollywood is anyways hard on heroines with few meaty roles in circulation. So my focus is on scoring brownie points as an actress” Isha says upfront.
