that dimpled smile and boyish charm
But try to interest Aftab in some mush talk and the guy is unbelievably shy. “Not shy necessarily…” '…but not forthcoming about it either' we butt in. “Well…” smiles Aftab. Does it bother him that the Esha-Shamita linkups have taken longer than usual to die down? “Hey, that's thanks to you people who keep fanning the gossip making my life tough!” he laughs. So much for a question, we chide him. So what was his first crush like? we ask. “Ah, that is one moment I will never forget” his face lights up. And we wonder what's coming up…
“This was when I was schooling at St.Xaviers. And trust me I had a BIG crush on this girl for 3 long years” Affi tells us. '3 years!' we wonder aloud. “Yup! And I never managed to speak to her even once” We warned you about his awfully shy streak. “I used to cry for her, give her blank calls, did a lot of crazeball stuff. I know you think of me as insane but let me continue anyway. At the end of it all, her image of me was so screwed that she didn't look at me once!” he says in a self-mocking manner. “And finally she got married to someone else” he laughs at his innocent memories. So much for puppy love!
