David Dhawan is back this summer with another laugh riot, something at which he excels. Under the banner of Shree Asthavinayak Cine Vision, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya is a Sohail Khan Production.
The trailer opens with Salman Khan dressed as a doctor introducing the lead protagonists of the film.
- the inviting Katrina Kaif swaying at Mauritius beaches who plays Soniyo
- the sizzling rain-drenched Sushmita Sen (in the Main Hoon Na saree mode) who plays Naina
Salman's opponent in the film, brother Sohail Khan who plays Pyaare.
Once again David Dhawan cooks a comedy in his templatized triangular love story format. Or is it a quadrangular love story?

Salman plays a flirtatious doctor in the film who falls for every second good-looking female but is not ready for a commitment. As soon as his girlfriend gets serious, he backs off saying he is already married.
Then comes into picture Soniyo (Katrina Kaif), a London based model who has wild suicidal tendencies and comes to India for her treatment. Enter Pyaare (Sohail Khan), an aspiring actor who falls in love with Soniyo but Soniyo falls for her doctor (Salman Khan) and the doctor too responds to her feelings. And this time he is serious!
But then starts the chaos! The doctor's married status is revealed to Soniyo. But she still loves him and asks the doctor for a divorce for which the doctor also agrees. But the problem lies in the fact that a divorce is possible only after marriage. But here Salman is not married at the first place. So now he needs a fake wife to get his divorce and subsequently his love Soniyo.
At this instance Naina (Sushmita Sen) who plays a nurse at Salman's hospital comes to his rescue. She poses as his fake wife. But there's another hitch. The nurse also nurses feelings for the Salman though she never voices her love to the doctor.
And if you thought all this confusion is enough reason to induce laughter, think again. There's also the current humor king - Arshad Warsi and Rajpal Yadav to add to the hilarity.
Sohail Khan, who earlier just wanted to restrict himself as the producer of the film, took up one of the pivotal roles (of the second male lead) in the film subsequently. And though Sohail has directed Salman in many films, this is the first time that he will be sharing the screen with his brother.
If you have fallen sick of boring movies, laughter is the best medicine this summer!
