Murder she wrote: The Mallika-Emraan spat

Footpath went astray; Murder was Emraan Hashmi's ticket to the big time. Mahesh uncle promised him so. But Sherawat's spitfire quotes hogged the pre release publicity. (There is no way you could have forgotten the “Men talk to my breasts” cracker that easy) Meanwhile, Murder hit theatres. The dark horse hit gold! Mallika's sizzle between the sheets and her bombastic curves had men asking for more. She was no more a faceless haryanvi, Mallika Sherawat had arrived and how!

Murder was Mallika, Mallika was Murder. A 3 crore film grossed 20 crores! Celebrations had begun, but wait, someone was seething…Emraan. The publicity gimmick of using Mallika as a bait had stretched too far… it had turned her into a star! And the men, Emraan Hashmi & Ashmit Patel were lost in the Mallika mania. Suddenly, the caviar didn't taste that good, Emraan was upset! So at the success party, the bottled bitterness hit ceiling when he lamented, “Mallika was just the hype we needed to rush the crowds to theaters, but she seems to be still living in the hype. Unlike what she claims, Mallika cannot call Murder her success. It is a team effort and she seems to be forgetting that” Clearly, someone was hurting. “I will do everything in my capacity to see that she never ever works with the Bhatts again!” Hashmi once swore.

Well, Pooja Bhatt signed on Mallika for 'Cabaret' right after the squabble. And Mallika stills shares a very cordial relation with Mahesh Bhatt. Take a chill pill, Emraan. Come easy, go easy, its Bollywood after all.
Zeher - When the poison spilled off screen…
Udita Goswami posed bare back; the result, mercury rose and morals fell. Atleast some residents of Santacruz felt so. And the self appointed moral keepers dashed off to the local police station to file a complaint that the posters were indecent and should be done away with at the earliest. The distributors were booked on charges of obscenity. And the publicity designers too find their names in the red line.

Funnily enough, Udita is in the fire ring once again. The film was shot, made, released and then…. Udita cries fowl! “That's because I was promised the meatier role in the film, and when I saw the film, all that I got is the 'fleshier' role” Udita flares. “And they flashed the bare back scene all over the hoardings and publicity material. It was to be used just for the film. I feel cheated, because now I have got them the crowd but I am hardly there in the film” she laments. Shamita is there in almost every scene and all I do is sizzle. How come I have to play second fiddle to an item girl (dig on Shamita's 'Sharara Sharara' & 'Chori Chori' numbers). I am bigger than that” she fumes.
Mahesh Bhatt on his part plays cool cat, “Udita knew from day one that Shamita had the better role, we don't fool around with actors. Also, she is seeing the director, Mohit. Should she have a problem, she could have easily talked it up with him” he comes clean. Turn the mike to Mohit and he says, “I am not seeing Udita!” Now that takes the cake!
Believe it or not… Udita was last seen having a blast with the Zeher team! Yes, looks like all he Zeher has drained away. First troublemaker, now peacemaker, Mahesh Bhatt apparently sorted out the badblood between the Mohit and girlfriend Udita.
Nazar: In the eye of storm
If a Karan Johar film is incomplete without glycerin, gloss & goody-goody guys and girls, Mahesh Bhatt cannot be spelt without the mandatory sex and scandal grind either. His latest offering Nazar has a smooch sequence between its lead actors. Pak actress Meera smooches Ashmit Patel and Pakistan turns into jahannum for the actress. The purists lashed against her and objected to this kind of 'cultural onslaught'!

The culture vultures land up at her residence asking her parents to tell their daughter to back out. Back home, the Aishwarya Rai of Pakistan, (that's what she calls herself) at first asks Bhatt to drop the sequence, which he didn't agree to.
Things got ugly to the point that Meera even thought of shifting base to India all together!
