By IndiaFM News Bureau, February 9, 2005 - 09:30 IST
Fascinating is the pull of movies that has got an International business graduate holder, Anjana Sukhani to put her academic scores in deep freeze while she dons greasepaint and shine in the arclights. This bright and bubbly wannabe chats IndiaFM about her debut in Kushan Nandy's fun ride, Hum Dum.
How did the film happen to you?
I got a call from Kushan Nandy's office for the role. (Not many know that she is a popular tele face and has 40 commercials in her kitty) I auditioned for it and finally bagged the role.
What is it about the film that got you to sign it?
I thought of it as an unusual script. It was the first Bollywood film to be based on game show. That got me pretty excited.
How was the team to work with?
They were extremely co-operative. The entire atmosphere on the sets was very chilled out. We were made to feel so much at home. I didn't experience the slightest discomfort.
Your role in particular…
I play Ritu Joshi. She is a bubbly, sunshine girl who is full of life. She knows what she wants in life and goes all out to get it.
Give us a peek into the film
What I can reveal is that the two characters enter a game show to win money. Initially the two don't know each other and there is a lot of unfamiliarity and animosity built in. But as the story progresses, the dislike slowly changes into love.
Sounds like a fun-film, any particular scene or moment that tickles you till date?
Hmm…there is this particular scene where I enter the green room to get my makeup done and my hair fixed, but the makeup guy totally screws up my face with all kinds of color and messes my entire look. That totally freaked me out.
