Good guy, baddie, comedy, kick-ass action. Bollywood's Khiladi Kumar has done it all.
But here's what excites the handsome actor best…
“I am doing Satish Rajwade's film Akhand” Akshay says with a serious tone. “I play a cold-hearted jailor of British India” A period flick and a meanie to top it, we quiz. “See I look at it this way. Had I not agreed to play it, they would have settled for a stereotype” he makes his point. He adds, “The choice of playing two conventional heroes came my way but I picked the grey. I was fascinated by the role”
Could that have to do with the applause that came his way with his bad-man act in Ajnabee? “Nah... It just feels wonderful to go back in time, pick pieces of that age and create a character. I will be building the character with my look, voice and body language. I am going in for a diametrically different look for Akhand” he says with a glint in his eye…
