Amrita Rao, the beautiful damsel from movies like Main Hoon Na and Masti has high regards for the festival of Diwali. “It happens to be my favorite Hindu festival because there is so much happening. It is so bright and colorful. I think in this modern world we are all stuck up in our jobs and are so busy that we tend to ignore our relatives and friends. So this is the time where we make up for all that by spending time with them.”
Quizzing her on her favorite part of the festival, she promptly replies, “Lighting up the house with Diyas and personally doing the rangoli. Definitely! And off course the sweets and the dry fruits. I don’t put on weight so I can eat as much as I want.” Any Diwali more special than the rest? “I always go to the temple with my mama and mami and there was this particular year where I gifted her gold ring. She refused to take it because I was much younger than her but finally relented. I think that day is really close to my heart.”
