And the fan happens to be none less than Gulzarsaab! We are sure Rani is flashing that ‘warm-as-a-sunbeam’ smile right now. Yes the luminary lyricist is the latest addition to her ever swelling fan club.
“I saw Bunty aur Babli and liked the film’s energy” remarks the genius. Gulzar is the lyricist of this Chopra production and his qawalli, Kajrare re had the film had the entire nation swinging to the track. “I thought the film was a bit loud but then I guess that is the flavor that Shaad wanted. But Rani is what I liked best about the film. I thought she did a wonderful job. Rani ne apne role mein bahut jaan dali hain” comments the filmmaker.
So any chances that we see this Bengali talent in his forthcoming film, we ask skeptically. He stumps us with his answer, “For all you know, I might actually want her in my film. She is extremely versatile and can reach to an entire range of emotions” he replies. But Rani and your offbeat cinema, we voice concern to which he answers, “There will be speculations galore but I just know one thing, she will not tell me a no, I am sure of that” he says assuredly.
