Candles from Karan

He’s a hedonist!
Tell him that and the good-looking Punjabi laps it up sportingly, “Yes, I am all for good living. I have worked bloody hard for it!” Fair enough, if you can work for the spoils, you can have them too! You are justified, Manish. But we came in for a pleasant surprise when we paid a raincheck at Manish Malhotra’s swanky Pali Hill pad.
While we were there to talk to him about his upcoming Karan Johar opus, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, something else caught our fancy and it brought us back to the centre of discussion as much as it distanced us. Bollywood’s best –known designer’s house is dotted with candles!
You must see it to believe it. And the sweet aroma wafts the air incessantly. “I like candles because they give an atmosphere to the house. Besides, the vibe is very romantic. But my favorite ones are these….” He says pointing to a candle set in a twirled cast iron rods with several candleholders. “These are from Karan” he says fondly and adds, “He is the director with the best aesthetic sense in Bollywood. His understanding of costuming always challenges me. We feed off from each other. I love working with him!” he informs us.
Agree, Duplicate, Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, K3G, Kal Ho Na Ho is proof for everyone.
