Garam Masala - The Diwali Delicacy
By IndiaFM News Bureau, October 10, 2005 - 06:01 IST
We all know that John Abraham and Akshay Kumar make the 'masala' in Garam Masala. So who makes the film 'garam'? The ladies off-course! Three scorching newcomers will sizzle on the big screen bringing you the flavor of the season.
IndiaFM introduces to you the 'hot spices' of the season.
'Chatpati' Chandra
Neetu Chandra hails from Patna and has a Martial Arts background. Hmm…some competition for Akshay! Has been seen in lots of ads including one directed by Priyadarshan himself. Danced to the tunes of Abhijeet and Bombay Vikings in their videos and is now learning Kathak. Martial Arts and Kathak? An explosive background here.
'Tangy' Daisy
Daisy Bopanna wanted to pursue Fine Arts until the glamour world came along. Apart from acting in a lot of dramas in school and college, she has featured in over 150 regional ads. 150 ads? And we say the Indian cricket team endorses too much. She must have thanked her stars when her secretary introduced her to Priyadarshan who quickly finalized her for the role.
'Namkeen' Nargis
Nargis hails from a political background and always wanted to become a pilot until the acting bug bit her. A big fan of Guru Dutt, this babe would prefer not to expose her assets letting her sensuality do the talking. And why would people want to watch her? Because she has to live up to the original Nargis name.
These new pot-boilers will surely give the present sultry sirens a run for their money. Come this Diwali and winter will have a new fate.
And now for...
Garam Masala - The Perfect Recipe
Ingredients:
A dash of Neetu Chandra
A hint of Daisy Bopanna
And a tad bit of Nargis
2 table spoons of Akshay Kumar
John as per taste
Directions:
First put in the sizzling Daisy Bopanna. Her natural flavor will immediately make every man's mouth water. Add the sweet Nargis to reduce pressure. Her sensuality will bring the heat down and there's nothing like hot and sweet. But wait there's still more. Add the tangy Neetu Chandra to confuse your taste buds. Stir well and garnish with John and Akshay. And you have the perfect combination - Hot, Sweet and Sour.
Ready to serve: for the entire family at a theatre near you this Diwali.
Stay tuned and watch out for exclusive tête-à-tête with the three Garam Masala girls starting from tomorrow.
