For years Shahrukh's face has lightened the screens and now you can capture his charisma on the walls too. Delhi based artist Anjanna Kuthiala has launched a series of 20 paintings titled Shahrukh Khan: A poem of art in cinema. The paintings capture Shahrukh in myriad moods and in various avatars, where he has various guises ranging from a Greek warrior to a man who lights up the lives of women, while the ambience of the paintings go back to the time of Cleopatra.
What began as a singular portrait of the actor as Anjanna visualized him on screen, slowly transformed into a mega project of 20 paintings. " It was Shahrukh the person more than Shahrukh the actor that appealed to me. His mature, down to earth personality and the passion with which he works caught my fancy, I wanted to immortalise that image," says Anjanna.
