Ishaa on a high!

After lying low for some time, she finally nailed it with Kya Kool Hain Hum. The saucy cop Urmila Martodkar was Ishaa’s passport to success. We remember meeting Ishaa during the pre release publicity rounds of KKHH and there was never a dull moment with the actress whose hypnotic eyes catapulted her to frame. “I am very excited about my role. My fans will enjoy watching me in this avatar” she excused herself to join Riteish for a photo-shoot.
That day and today.
Balaji recently celebrated the 100 day run of their corny comedy. What’s more, Ishaa has been signed on for a vital role in Farhan Akhtar’s SRK starrer Don! When we called the actor recently to congratulate her, we were told that the actor is away in Amsterdam. Holidaying, we guessed. But our thought was broken when an innocuous voice told us, ‘Madam America show karne gayi hain! ’ Two racy numbers in the film; add to that her hit item songs and you can be sure that Ishaa has a plateful in Bush land.
However we did get in touch with the sprite and Ishaa sounded on a definite high “Know what…” she yelped. “Kya Kool Hain Hum songs are such a hit here. You should have been here to see the response I got when I performed Chaska, it was unbelievable!” the actor gushed. Her excitement was palpable but we managed to ask her how she feels to be in Don? “Feels wonderful, I am waiting to get back and start work on this one” she let out. And what is the ‘vital’ role going to be? we chided. “Hey, now you are trespassing!” Ishaa laughed. “I am not going to let that out. But it’s going to be something very special. Wait and watch!” she ended.
Recently, Farhan confirmed that they have built a new role for her in the film. So, it won’t be one of the already existing characters of the gangland, instead a fresh new character. Now that is tres exciting!
Looks like Kya Kool Hain Hum has said Khallas to Ishaa’s ‘not-so-happening’ years for good.
