"Tanveer is a talented director" - Bipasha Click here to add this article to My Clips

By IndiaFM News Bureau, September 8, 2004 - 06:56 IST

Call her a sex siren or a fantasy, but there is no denying that she still manages to pick the juiciest roles on the bollywood plate. On the sets of Madhoshi, Bipasha talks to IndiaFM about the romantic thriller directed by debutant Tanveer Khan, co-starring John Abraham and Priyanshu Chatterjee.

What is the sequence that you have just shot?
Without revealing much, I can say that the sequence is a song that has been picturised on me. The situation is such that the girl is waiting for her love to arrive.

Madhoshi was initially titled Mumkin. Can you explain us why?
The plot is such that an event that looks close to impossible actually happens. That's why we chose the title, Mumkin.

You play Anupama in the film. What is her character like?
Right. I play the role of Anupama. When she loses her sister to the 9/11 tragedy, it creates a dent in her. She now needs to find out the root cause of terrorism. The film then traces her journey where she meets people at different junctures in life.

How was it to work with John for the third time now?
It was fabulous working with him. We are both professionals and the work equation we share is very comfortable. Also, what made shooting interesting was that the characters we play in Madhoshi is different from that in Jism and Aetbaar.

How would you rate Tanveer Khan as a director?
Madhoshi is a demanding film for a new comer. But Tanveer has managed to pull it off successfully. I think he is talented and will go a long way.

How do you like the music of the film?
There are quite a few songs that I like. 'O Jaane jaana' is a romantic ballad. I also like 'Aye Khuda' and the title track.
