I now choose roles with great care - Isha Koppikar

Her last film Girlfriend created heat waves at the box office. Movies, item songs and videos but the men don't seem to get enough of this girl. With a string of juicy films up her sleeve, Isha is breathing easy.
In an interview with IndiaFM, the Khallas girl talks of her role in the Kundan Shah comic caper, Ek Se Badhkar Ek where she plays a detective.
What is your role like in Ek Se Badhkar Ek?
I play a curious character in the film. I am a detective. She has a queer feel to her. She is on the trial of something that keeps the plot moving.
Apart from the script, what made you sign up for the film?
The opportunity of working with a genius like Kundan Shah was too temping to let pass. So apart from the script, it was the director that got me to sign the dotted lines.
How was the experience?
The experience was fabulous. The film is a subject comedy, so I didn't have to go out of the way to create humor. The entire unit with veterans like Asrani, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Shekhar Suman was so funny. They kept me in splits all through. It was a complete joyride.
Earlier this year we had Girlfriend and now an all out comedy. Are you being super selective about work?
With a non-filmi background and being a rank newcomer, I couldn't afford to be selective earlier. But after a couple of decent projects, yes.. I now choose roles with great care.
How do you like the music?
The music is okay. I have two songs picturised on me. One is an item number while the other is a romantic ballad.
How was Shekhar Suman to work with?
Shekhar was good to work with. His timing is impeccable. Why just Shekhar, the others too have a great sense of humor, which made shooting absolutely funny. So, if laughter is the best medicine, then i am in a great health in the film.
Forthcoming films…
I am bundling some delayed projects. Inteqam that started in 2001 is a psychological thriller directed by Pankaj Parashar and I am paired opposite Manoj Bajpai. There's a David Dhwan comedy opposite Salman Khan. A romantic film Humrahi is in the lines. Also, there's a Balaji film with Tusshar, Ritesh and Neha Dhupia. Watch out for this one, it is a rocking comedy!
