Preity Zinta speaks about her special role in Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa

After playing a news reporter in Lakshya, Preity Zinta is making news in the Atul Agnihotri directed Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa. Looking ultra chic in a black outfit, Preity chats camera and questions. In an interview with IndiaFM , the zesty Zinta talks about her character, Pari in this romantic entertainer.

Reports insist that your role in the film is a guest appearance that's been stretched into a longer one. Is it true?
In the beginning, with a brief 15-day shooting stint, even I felt that the role would be reduced to a guest appearance. But Atul being a quick head canned a lot of shots fast and easy. The product looks superior and I am very happy with the final outcome.

Salman is supposed to be highly temperamental. How was your experience working with him?
Temperamental is the media tag that Salman is carrying. Personally speaking, he has never been a problem person. No insecurities between us. There is a high comfort zone present. Our work equation is very good. I have never had any issues with him either.

You are starring with him for the third time. What kind of chemistry do the two of you share?
I just watched the first copy of the film and the chemistry between us has to be seen to be believed. I think we share a fabulous chemistry. As for Salman, I think the guy is mind-blowing!

How was it working with actor-director Atul Agnihotri?
Oh, Atul's wonderful for a first-timer. The best aspect about him is that he is cool-headed. Not the one to loose his calm, he is the perfect crisis-man. That apart, as a director too, he is articulate and knows exactly what he wants out of the actors and the scene.

What is the Preity Zinta that we get to see in Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa?
I play the character of Pari, a doctor. I am wife of Rishabh [Salman]. It is a sweet, simple, heart-warming story. And has a feel-good factor about it. Thoroughly enjoyable, I must say.

How do you like the music?
The music has varied scores, each suiting the mood of the plot. They are soft, mellow numbers that you would love to listen may be on a drive back home. It's not the jarring kind.

Which year has been very special to you?
As an actor, I would like every year of mine to be special. But 2004 is going to be extra special for sure.
