Akshay Kumar talks about Mujhse Shaadi Karogi

Sitting relaxed on the sets of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, the Khiladi Kumar in a striking blue shirt shares his experience about the movie.
Tell us about Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
Priyanka plays Rani. Both, Sameer (Salman) her neighbor and Sunny that's me try to woo her. The nok-jhok between Salman and me pumps humor into the film
How would you describe the character of Sunny in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi?
Sunny is a flamboyant, fun character who falls in love with Rani much to the annoyance of Sameer. Things always seem to work out for me, whereas with poor Sameer, bad luck is his best friend.
What are you currently shooting?
We are currently shooting a song. It's a dream sequence which Priyanka's character Rani fantasizes.
David Dhawan likes his songs to have a comic touch. Is it any different in this film?
Sahi baat hain. But this track has no comic element in it. In fact, far from being comic, it is a romantic number filmed on Priyanka and me.
Okay. Does that explain the gaudy outfit that you are wearing?
I don't know whether you can call it gaudy. But yes, it does have some mirror work and bright colors. And that's because the look has been coordinated with the set design.
You are working with Salman Khan for the first time ever. Can you share the experience with us?
That's right. It's a first as far as our screen comic pairing goes. Professionally, we did have our initial hiccups, but as days rolled on, we hit it off quite well and it's been fantastic working with him.
You have done many two-hero projects. Whom would you say you share the best on-screen chemistry with?
Now that I have seen rushes of the film, I would have to say, it's with Salman.
Do you enjoy comedy? How comfortable are you with it?
Oh, I enjoy comedy tremendously. People recognize me as an action face, but if you were to ask me, I did say comedy is my forte. It comes to me easy and effortless. So, comic screenplays are always a pleasure. Meanwhile, Khakee earned me some good reviews.
What is unique about Mujhse Shaadi Karogi vis-?is other comedies?
Humor in this movie has a different approach. Besides a fresh casting, the Salman-Akshay chemistry is something that the junta will enjoy.
How was it working with Farah Khan?
We have been friends for 17 years now. Efficient and creative, she has always been wonderful to work with. We share a great work equation.
You co-starred with Priyanka when she was a debutant. What are the changes that you see in her after a year and 5 films?
I have seen a positive growth curve in her as an actor. She's always been a fast learner. Her dance has improved tremendously too.
