By IndiaFM News Bureau, May 6, 2004 - 07:20 IST

How was your experience working with other costars?
It was very nice working with my friends. I had already done 2 films with Uday earlier and had the experience of working with Hrishita, Irfan and Tigmanshu in Haasil. I have also worked with Namrata in Dil Vil Pyar Vyar. So working with my friends created a very comfortable and a much more relaxed atmosphere during shoots.

The locations where you had shot had farms of charas and ganja. Tell us something about your experience?
The experience was really good while shooting in Kulu-Manali, Ladakh and New Delhi except for the first time when the climate in Kulu was not favorable due to heavy rains making it really miserable for us to shoot. As such, out of a month's schedule, we could just shoot for 10 days and resumed our shooting only after the weather was comfortable enough to proceed further.

Charas seems to be a film on drug addicts. Please comment.
Charas is not at all a film on drug addicts. None of the characters we are playing are addicted to drugs in the movie. The film does not preach anything. Charas is an entertainment film. Tigmanshu has set a refreshing atmosphere throughout the film. The look of the film is of seventies but the story has an expression that is based on recent times. I am playing the character of a London based police officer who is designated to India to investigate a case.

The look of the film is of seventies but the story is based on present times. Kindly comment.
The look of the film has an atmosphere that belongs to the seventies and strongly portrays a culture of leather jackets, denims, harmoniums and guitars that was very much in fashion at that time.

What are the special highlights of the movie?
The main highlight of the movie is the mysterious event that takes place amidst the mountains. Tigmanshu has always been very keen to ensure to-the-point action in his movies. The characters that we all play are very different from what we have played before.

What was your experience while shooting for the song 'Dhuan Dhuan'?
The song Dhuan Dhuan was shot on Namrata in a caf?nd the scene is such that both me and Uday visit this caf?ith the purpose of inspecting the scenario of the caf?One song was shot in Ladakh, which was a road song and an equally hectic one. We had lots of fun shooting both the songs.
