Tell us something about Charas?
Charas is an adventure thriller, it's got mystery, it's got emotions and it's a basic commercial entertainer with the backdrop of drugs.
Tell us something about the story?
I play the character of a drug addict. I play the character of Priya Benegal. She lives in a small town Kasol .She hangs out with this group and somewhere along the line she meets a boy (Jimmy) who is there on a mission to find out a missing person. How she meets him and how she falls in love with him and how she helps him achieve this goal forms the rest of the story.
What is your role in the movie and how important is it in the story?
Each character has it's importance in the story, otherwise the story wouldn't have had been complete. The story is an adventure thriller with the backdrop of drugs. All the characters meet at one point in the movie. That is what the film is all about.
Who are your co-stars in the film?
Jinmy is opposite me in the film and there's Hrishita and Uday too in the film along with Irfan. All of them are the principal characters in the film.
Which locations were selected for the shoots?
The first one was Kasol. But we also shot in Ladakh and in Bombay.
The locations where you shot had farms of ganja and charas. Can you tell us that experience?
Many people do consume ganja and charas there. But then they are in their own world so that was not a problem in any way. Also, it was easy for us to shoot there because we did not give them any problems either. We were doing our shooting and they were doing their work!. So there was no real disturbance.
It is said that the title of the film was changed to Charas while the movie was in the production stage. Is it correct?
Earlier the film was titled Yaara since we were not permitted to shoot with the title Charas there. So we had kept Yaara as the name of the film on the clapperboard.
How was it working with Tigmanshu?
He is a very capable director and a very nice person. He knows his work very well as to what is he doing and how is he going to shoot the film. We enjoyed a lot while shooting for the film. Infact, we did not realize when the shooting got started and when it was complete.
Can you tell us about the music of the film?
The music is very very melodious. The song Dhuan Dhuan is my favourite song in the entire film.

Two
What is the USP of CHARAS?
The USP of Charas is its story and the characters that we all play. That means each actor has played the character with dedication and his utmost capability. It all adds to making the film work.

What are your expectations from the movie?
It's obvious to expect that the film does well and is liked by everyone.
Which are your other films apart from Charas?
Besides Charas, there is another film coming on the way: Bride and Prejudice.
