Meghna Naidu speaks on her item number in AK 47

'Kaliyon Ka Chaman' girl Meghna Naidu is doing an item number (Nasha…Le Le Tu Dil) in Time Magnetics AK 47, which is being directed by Raam Shetty. Choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, the song has ben sung by Sunidhi Chauhan while Sajid-Wajid have composed the music.
Meghna, sporting a dusky Arabic look (red and blue costume) speaks exclusively to IndiaFM about her dance number in the movie and her career graph.
Why have you selected this film for an item number?
First of all I never thought of doing an item number since I don't understand the differentiation. Also, I liked the song very much because it's a total dance number and secondly the big banner name of Time Video attracted me further to accept the offer. Perhaps these two reasons persuaded me to accept the song or I could say the item number as they call it.
Your fans are eagerly awaiting your dance number. Do you want to give any message to you fans regarding your forthcoming films? Also tell us something about this song.
In fact I am very happy to be a part of the whole film and am also doing one more film with Time in near future. I am a big fan of Ganeshji in person. So dancing on his footsteps and tunes really gives me the high. I am extremely happy to be a part of this whole setup.
Ganeshji is very famous for his dance steps. Tell us something about your experience of working with Ganeshji.
Ganeshji is a great person who is very helpful especially where expressions are concerned. For a classical dancer like me, couple of steps seemed little difficult like jatkas and all that stuff but Ganeshji helped me tremendously with the right expressions, right movements, right look and right posture all the time. The best part about Ganeshji is that he is a very nice person who always keeps smiling and does not believe in losing temper easily. It was real fun working with Ganeshji who helped me tremendously throughout the shoot.
Tell us something about the song being picturised on you just before the shoot.
The song that was picturised on me is a club song. The song demands a scene of Sadashiv Amrapurkar and Om Puri wherein Sadashiv is required to take hold of the drums. That's the reason for both of them being present at this location.
Tell us something about your experience of working with Sadashiv and Om Puri.
In fact we haven't shot with Om Puri as yet whereas Sadashiv has been here since the last two days for his scene to be shot at this club. Sadashiv seems to be a very nice person who is attentive to almost everything and always tries his utmost best to give a really superb performance. It's really surprising to find such renowned actors like Sadashiv so down to earth to work with.
Tell us something about your future plans.
In fact I don't plan my career. I have not planned anything as yet but yes; I do whatever I find it right. I strongly believe in working with the flow and take up as it comes to me. Recently I have signed couple of good films.
