Vivek plays a prank on Indra Kumar

On one occasion while shooting for Masti, Aftab, Ritesh
and I were sat down with director Indra Kumar to rehearse a scene.
The three of us were supposed to deliver a dialogue and director Kumar
wanted to make sure the execution was close to perfect.
The first few times, we said our dialogues and the director
was very happy. But as is the case in Bollywood, the director has to
say and review a ‘final’ rehearsal before the actual
take.
We decided we would play a prank on our director and
each time Indra Kumar would shout “final rehearsal”,
we would start saying dialogues that belonged to the other actor!
Inder Kumar at first was in a shock, what are they doing,
he would think out loud! Why is Vivek saying Aftab’s dialogues
and Ritesh saying Vivek’s dialogues? We got the director so
confused he would make us rehearse again!
And again, during re-rehearsals, Ritesh, Aftab and
I would deliver a close to perfect scene with the right dialogues
but as soon as the director would say “final rehearsal, we
would muddle things up deliberately say dialogues that belonged
to the other”
Don’t have to tell you how long this went on for!
