He is cute, earnest and lovable. Rok Sako To Rok Lo gives movie buffs a chocolate-hero after a leap of almost 15 years. Ex-Mithibhaiite Yash Pandit is a face that girls drool at. After auditioning among scores of wannabes, this young lad is now debuting in the high-school fun-feast.

How did the film happen?
I was auditioned among 300 guys, then shortlisted on to a bracket of 100. And once Arindham Chaudhari felt that I was the best choice for the character of Dev, I landed the role.
The promos look fresh and promising, what is the film about?
Rok Sako To Rok Lo is about high school days. The film is about this guy Dev, his friends and his romance. It has a whole lot of elements like friendship, love, fun and frolic that teenagers are going to identify with.
What were you as a college kid?
I was a very naughty guy, a huge flirt. I used to bunk classes, date girls and basically have a lot of fun. And hey, I also did win a lot of competitions, and was good with dramatics.
Which college are you from?
I am from Mithibai.
How was it to work with co-star Majari?
She's a nice person and good friend. I enjoy a very good comfort level with her and I guess that reflects onscreen too. So, working with her was good fun.
What do you think makes for that little magic onscreen?
First and foremost, the comfort zone that actors share is very vital. Along with that, I think there should be a certain give-and-take between actors, which could make the final outcome tremendous.
Jatin-Lalit have scored some super tracks for the film. Which is your pick?
That's right, the music is very melodious. The title track is getting to be the youth anthem. My personal favorite however would be 'Sapno ka yeh jahan'. The song has got me favorable feedback too.
We are eager to know how was Sunny to work with?
I have always dreamt of working with hug stars. When Sunny came onto the sets the first day, we were all very intimidated. It was his first day at shoot, and we were to picturize the title track. He came to me and said, “Know what Yash, I am more nervous than what you are” That really broke the ice. He is such a mature actor and I learnt so much from him.
So what is Namrata's role in the film?
She plays a sweet, friendly character.
Now tell us about your director, Arindham Chaudhari. We are keen to know what did you think of his style of filmmaking since he comes from a management background?
I think he is great person. He gives such positive vibes. He's so charged about everything and keeps us on our toes constantly. As far as his work technique is concerned, everything is so planned and super-organized, that the shoots went off without a single problem.
Must mention this too, we underwent intensive workshops in order to give our best. Nothing was ever forced on us, lot of improvisation happened all along. We got total creative freedom.
Where do you see Rok Sako To Rok Lo scoring over other Bollywood college romances?
I think our trump card is our storyline, that's where our strength lies. Besides, the film is not really about college, it's about High school and so you see us in school uniforms. It's almost a nostalgia trip.
Draw us a one similarity and a difference with Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar
Both the films were about school rivalry. But when it comes to Rok Sako To Rok Lo, you get a different flavor. The treatment is very different.

What kind of roles are you eyeing?
I am looking for interesting plots with a good role in it for me.
Since you have a brilliant rapport with Mr. Arindham, do we see you in future Planman Life projects?
Absolutely. I will be doing 4 of their films. And I am open to offers from outside too.
