Thanks to Sushmita, her 22-carat diamond is now a mini-celeb. With rumors still afloat, her rock continues to hog newsprint. It's here that Sush cracks the ruckus behind her 'rock'…
“The first time my fianc?ifted me a 7-carat diamond, I was jumping with joy. The most natural thing for a girl who constantly dreamt of a fairytale wedding” says Sushmita. “I remember when Mom rebuked me over the phone for having broken up with him. I told her that he wanted me to leave films and nestle down in US”
She reasoned, “You let that nice guy go for one petty film?” I said, “If he wants me to throw up all my hard work, I don't he's a nice guy at all. I opened champagne with my pals that day”
That night I called mom and told her, “I just returned a 7-carat stone, I now want you to get me a 8-carat stone, my finger's feeling so empty” Sen laughs. Later, Sanjay gifted me a 10-carat gem. When the engagement fell through, I got myself a 11-carat stone!” the stunner chuckles.
And now's the big one. “I told myself that I deserve more than this faint 11-carat. And that's how you see the killer 22-carat rock sitting on my fingers!” smiles the lissome lady.
