Shilpa Shetty: A ramp reject!

Handspan waist, never-ending legs and a towering persona. But the fashion fraternity didn't think Shilpa Shetty was model material…
“Both my mom and dad being good-lookers had done some modeling stint during their hey days. With the modeling bug very much in me, I simply walked upto a photographer who lived next door one day and asked him to click a few pictures of mine” Shilpa brushes old memories for us.
“Standing 5'7 inches tall, I was sure that I did make it. So I circulated my snaps among various ad agencies,” she gabs. “But guess what, I was in for a rude shock when the agencies said that my walk should improve. Also, I wasn't as skinny as the cover girls. I had my 15 year old puppy fat that didn't quite agree with them,” Shilpa giggles.
“I remember being almost doomed when they rejected me” the lovely lass smiles.
