The most defining moment in Preity's life…

Most of us have moments that are burnt into memory. Here we get 'Zaara begum' to share with us that one moment when life did a complete summersault, and here is what the dimpled wonder had to say…
“I was a tomboy right through my toddler years. Good with studies and at the same time an outdoor kid who loved tossing basketball while getting her knee scrapped. Papa would take me along during his golf outings but must admit, I was simply miserable at it” she giggles.
And just when we settle for some high-energy incident from her, she drops a bombshell…
“I was pretty normal till the age of 13 when dad passed away in a car accident” she stuns us with her statement. Sensing our slight daze she continues, “Yeah, and mom who was with him was seriously injured and bed ridden for 2 years. That's when I grew up overnight.”
And how did she cope with the sudden vacuum? “Incidents have a way with you. While my younger brothers kept crying all day, I just pulled myself together and turned mature. None of those nights out, dating and boyfriends happened until I turned 17”
“And now when I look back, I can't help asking myself, How could I have gone around with those guys!” she cracks. Ah, the sunshine girl is back at it.
