When Kareena had a tiff with Manish! Click here to add this article to My Clips

By IndiaFM News Bureau, December 16, 2004 - 02:54 IST

He is a celeb designer. She is the dazzling damsel

And the two had a spat. Here's how…

Manish Malhotra has been Kareena's designer right from her first hit, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hain. Such is the rapport between the ace designer and the gorgeous gal that come hits or flops, Kareena's wardrobe never fails to create a noise. And then it turned a lill' ugly…

Manish recounts it for us, “Kareena was shooting for the Pepsi commercial and I was to design for Preity as well. When she learnt about it, impulsive that she is, said that she didn't want to work with me!” That must have been a tad severe, we ask. “You bet, it was. I was hurt but let it go. I had returned to my other assignments when I got a call from Shaad Ali who was directing the film. He called to say that Bebo's costume was not working out and would appreciate me stepping in to work it out.” What happened next? Our curiosity steps up.

“When I called her, she told me that she had grown so possessive of me that she hated the fact that I was designing for some other actress. I explained her that she need not doubt my honesty for even a wee bit. I had designed for her sister and Madhuri in Dil To Pagal Hai and four actresses in Mohabbatein. And none of them had anything to crib about”

”But these little unevenness is what makes working with Bebo such a scream!” smiles Manish.
