“Geeta ko bech ke aaya!”

 Just as celebrity lives are incomplete without gossip and gupshup, shoots cannot happen without its share of goofs
Swades has one such funny incident…
The scene is one where Shahrukh goes to meet a character, Bheemji. On seeing Shahrukh, he was supposed to say, “Aao beta”, then remove his cap and continue with his long drawn dialogue. But he wasn’t somehow getting it right. So Ashutosh, wrote down some instructions which went like, ‘Aao beta, topi nikalo, phir dialogue”
The guy returned after around half an hour of mugging his lines. The shot was now ready and he went on, ‘Aao beta, topi nikalo...” and the entire unit was in splits.
Another incident was when a South Indian character was to mouth the dialogue, “Geeta ko bhej ke aaya” But when she said her lines, the innocent crew was treated to, “Geeta ko bech ke aaya!”
