By IndiaFM News Bureau, October 28, 2004 - 07:45 IST
Kareena wears her stardom as effortlessly as the kaftan-cut turquoise blue top. After punching solid performances in Chameli and Dev, the glam gal is having a blast shooting for Satish Kaushik's romantic comedy Milenge Milenge co-starring boyfriend Shahid Kapur.
In an interview, the lovely lass tells IndiaFM about why she loves doing Satish Kaushik films. The actress-director team has earlier worked together in the 2001 hit Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai.
What is the scene that you are currently shooting?
Without revealing much, I can say that this scene is where I come searching for Shahid. And one event turns into another. It is the pre-interval point.
Kareena, your role in the film
In Milenge Milenge, I play a typical heroine in the film. So you will see me dancing, singing and romancing my hero.
What is most exciting aspect of the film?
I had earlier worked with Satish Kaushik in Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai. We have given a hit together. So, the most exciting factor of Milenge Milenge is the Kareena-Kaushik team re-uniting.
Tell us how good is Satish as a director?
I like Satish's style of presenting his heroines. Besides he gave me my first hit and I can never forget that. He has a huge hand in my success. So here I am, working in his film.
How was it working with Shahid?
Be it Akshay or Hrithik or Salman [with whom I am doing a film], I vibe well with most of my co-stars. I am basically a friendly person. Also, I had earlier worked with Shahid in Fida, so there was no problem this time around too.
How do you feel about Karisma's pregnancy?
Oh, it feels fantastic. I just can't bring myself to believe that the same woman, who was dancing and singing in films is now moving around with a fat stomach!
Any plans for the baby?
Plans…? No such thing. We are just praying for a healthy baby.
Aitraaz is releasing this Diwali. Are you excited about it?
Now that is one film that I am really looking forward to. I have earlier worked with Abbas-Mustan in Ajnabee. If Aitraaz is a huge hit, it would be my best Diwali gift.
