You might have missed her debut in Chupke Se, but not in Vishal Bharadwaj's Maqbool. After earning herself the talent tag, Masumeh is going glamorous in Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav.
The petite actress talks to IndiaFM about her hot-bod act in this rib-tickler while muscle man Suniel Shetty co-stars her.
Bubbly in Chupke Se, subdue in Maqbool and a sizzler in PLPY. How do you think you have tackled the varied roles?
Pretty decent, I guess. It's been a conscious decision because these roles were creatively satisfying. And for me, it's always the actress in me who occupies the front seat. The star comes later.
From girl-next-door to basic and now ultra-glamorous, you have sampled many looks…
I like to try different get-ups. You look and feel different. Also, the audiences get to see something new. The same Masumeh is going to be boring.
Fill us on your role.
I play Padmashree in the film. She is a smart lady who uses her charm and oomph to wriggle the diamonds out of the entire racket.
What does Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav promise its audiences?
It's a fun-ride that you guys are going to love. The tagline suggests the film; excitement has a new name!
The title of the film is undeniably wacky. Who suggested it?
Mahesh, I guess.
Going by the title, did you guys go location hunting in Bihar?
[Laughs] No! The entire film was shot in Cape Town and Mauritius.

I am going to be in LA for a while. Have hired an agent who is going to be sorting out my work.
