| Madhur and UTV decided not to allow anybody to use their cell phones on the sets of Fashion. Although the 14 models play themselves in Fashion, and regularly walk the ramp for various designers in real life too, they were apprehensive while shooting the scene as they feared that unit members would click their pictures on cell phones when they were changing clothes in the makeshift green room. They couldn't go to change in the vanity van as it would have taken up a lot of time. Hence to avoid any embarrassment, the usage of cell phones was banned.

| When Madhur Bhandarkar shot one of the most controversial scenes for Fashion on 30th January 2008, he cleared the sets at Mehboob Studios, Bandra. Only Bhandarkar, his cinematographer and a couple of essential people were present at the shoot. Kangana sportingly did not use a body double. The scene was based on the infamous Carol Gracias wardrobe malfunction episode which happened at the Lakme Fashion Week, 2006. |

| Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion was censored with an Adults only certificate. The Censor Board which saw Fashion on 13th October 2008 categorically told Madhur that the movie can't even get a U/A certificate if he did not delete at least six scenes, which they felt, were not fit for family viewing. |
