While watching the news I came across a report that showed how participants have been behaving on Reality shows
Some of them were arguing rudely with Shabana Azmi, another slapped a lady host, yet someone else pushed a co-participant, the list is endless. What really is going on on these shows ?
When I hosted Nach Baliye, the maximum that we experienced as judges was just a few participants cursing us under their breath, today if I was to go on to a Reality show as a judge, I’d probably keep security with me, given how frank my opinions are I can totally see some participant rushing towards the judges podium to attack me as a judge.
On Big Boss Sambhavna Seth picked up an argument which led to a fight, that led to her crying and saying Sanjay Nirupam was plotting to have her thrown out of the show the next week. I don't think these things are planned for TRP’s, the amount of money and popularity people get after appearing on these shows, they are bound to get over emotional about them. Whats worrying is that some who might realize that they have no chance of making it to the finale are going to start over reacting and misbehaving just to get attention.
With such bad behavior all the news channels pick up on these incidents and the badly behaved participants possibly become more popular than the winners. This is something that the channels need to ensure doesn’t happen, or the situation is realy going to get out of hand, if it already hasn’t .
I really don't know how I’ll react on the next reality show that I judge, but in spite of these badly behaved participants I certainly will not hold back. |
